Hello and welcome to week 2, Service Business Summer Series with Nia Pearson. (YouTube)

When it comes to marketing your business, there are so many options in the marketplace.  What I have noticed over the years as a marketing consultant at Marketing 4 Real Results is that most small business owners can get overwhelmed with so many options which in many cases result in no new marketing movement.

Regardless of your niche, being smart about marketing is critical to business growth and that is why I started this series.

So, let’s jump right in!

This week’s focus is “On-Page SEO” which stands for Search Engine Optimization.

68 % of online experiences start with a search engine.

Since SEO has two components in this blog I will cover  on-page SEO. Keep in mind, an SEO strategy is solely focused on building a robust online presence.

So, how is SEO connected to the world wide web?

When a user searches for a specific service, search engines use a lightening bolt speed algorithm to determine the location of the request and list the best possible websites that have the most relevant information to answer the search query.

Utilizing on-page SEO techniques to enhance your website’s credibility will enable search engines to recognize your website as an authority in your industry, leading to higher organic rankings for a specific keyword. Which keywords to rank for, will require a comprehensive planning process and is different for  each business.  Two main factors are location and competitors.

Ways to improve On-Page SEO Rankings:

Focus on key factors that search engines rank.

  • Post titles
  • Meta description
  • Header tags
  • High quality images
  • User experiences
  • Internal links
  • Page load time
  • Content quality

TIP: Consider an SEO keyword analysis for every service landing page.

Remember to focus on aligning your website content to questions that your prospects and customers will want to know. Think of SEO as an extended frequently asked questions (FAQ), format.

SEO strategies are designed to generate targeted leads that result in higher conversion rates and improved revenue streams. This can be done by strategically setting up dedicated landing pages that are optimized with key factors to support each different marketing campaign.

Effective marketing is not one size fits all. Each business category and each target audience should have a separate content marketing plan, messaging, strategy and budget.

Remember, it’s not just about being found online, it’s about being found by the right people.

This exclusive Summer Series, is designed to enhance your online digital footprint in preparation for a big boom this Fall and beyond.
